Girls Night In – A Self-Care Community and Newsletter

Alisha Ramos turned a weekly newsletter into a thriving company. Girls Night In is a community of women who would maybe rather stay IN on a Friday night!

What a concept?! I was told about Girls Night In from my friend Kathryn. It’s a weekly newsletter that goes on Friday mornings and it’s one you don’t want to miss. The purpose is to catch you up on what happened that week in the world, recommendations and some good skin care routines! It urges you to DO YOU, and it’s totally alright to spend some time alone with a face mask. I do love their newsletter but what I’ve found recently and would LOVE to share is their journal. Their posts are spot on, here are some of my favorites.

Girls Night In Articles I Love::

Go Small or Go Home: How to Adjust Plans So You Actually Keep Them

Read the article here By Rachel Miller. The post talks about scaling back your plans so you aren’t as exhausted all the time, and more likely to stick with it! If you want to plan a Friday hang out try a happy hour right after work. No one has time to go home and rest where they’re unlikely to get back up off their couch after working hard all week. Keep plans casual and easy, that way people are more likely not to cancel. Instead of carving pumpkins, which makes a massive mess and is kind of gross, paint them! Or buying everything from Trader Joes that is pumpkin flavored and have a blast taste testing one of everything. Lastly, always ALWAYS give yourself a day to rest.

Why I’m Creating a Self-Care To-Do List This Holiday Season

Read the article here by Alisha Ramos. Crazy that we’re getting BACK into the holiday season but this is a good list to not lose yourself during the most wonderful time of year. We all know the most wonderful time is also the most stressful, most overbooked and most overspent. Bring it back to the basics and take care of yourself in the process.

How to Maintain Your Long-Distance Friendships When All Your Friends Move Away

Read the article here By Olivia Rogine. DING DING DING Their journal is full of tactical advice like this, along with women you should know, skincare tips, etc. I love this real life stuff, it’s exactly why I wanted to start Blissful Paper Co. Look, even number 3 on their list is get personal by mailing a note!

Our prestamped friendship postcards can be found here. It’s great for keeping in touch with your long distance friends. I’m making a goal to mail one out today!
