5 Love Languages AND Friendship

What’s your love language?! It’s not only important to know your own but also the 5 love languages of your friends!

Gary Chapman wrote The 5 Love Languages book 25 years ago. It has since gone on to sell over 12 million copies and remain on the New York Times Bestseller list for years. What he writes is transformational in how relating to your spouse BUT I really see the value in how it relates to your children, friends, coworkers – everyone in your life!

The 5 Love Languages are:

  • Receiving Gifts
  • Quality Time
  • Words of Affirmation
  • Physical Touch
  • Acts of Service

There is a test you can take here to find out what your love language is. It’s also pretty easy to tell by reading the descriptions and seeing which fits your style the most. I own the book and really enjoy reading through the scenarios to better relate to my partner. I am 1000% Words of Affirmation, none of the others come close. Majority of my friends are all Quality Time which is super awesome. My husband is Acts of Service.

Learning which of the 5 love languages is your friend’s can you help better show up for them and let them know they’re appreciated. Whether getting together for a girls night or buying them a cute pineapple notebook! It’s super important and more fulfilling in relationships .
