5 Cooking Gifts Under $50 For Your Chef Friend

Whether your friend enjoys cooking for others or just their own family, these gifts are sure to delight!

I personally love being in the kitchen, entertaining and cooking for others should be my love language. Sometimes it is just one couple over for a Sunday night dinner and other times I’m trying out a new recipe which mostly turns out fine. These gifts would excite any friend who is either a master chef OR you just recognize they love cooking a meal and finding joy in dinnertime.

A Beautiful Salad Bowl

This hammered stainless steel serving bowl is great because it’s large, it goes with almost all decor AND it’s dishwasher safe. I love the wooden salad bowls and it’s another great option but I always prioritize ease of cleaning. This bowl can hold cold items and hot soups so it is very versatile. Other options I love, is this beautiful plastic geometric printed design at Target. World Market and Anthropologie are other wonderful places to shop for serving bowls and platters for your favorite cook!

Instant Pot Rings & A Cookbook

Does your friend have an Instant Pot? You’ve either heard them talking about it nonstop or they don’t have one. My biggest pet peeve with my amazing Instant Pot is the silicone rings smell like whatever you cooked last. I insist on putting it in the dishwasher after EVERY use, but then I can’t use my Instant Pot two nights in a row! (First world problems, am I right?!) This extra set of silicone rings is a super practical and thoughtful gift. My favorite cookbook is Brittany William’s Instant Loss cookbook which everyone who has this machine should own! She has a new one being released in December.

Quality Set of Kitchen Towels

Williams Sonoma is the place to go for kitchen towels, they’re long lasting, absorbent and simply beautiful. No one would complain about getting a set of quality towels to use while working in the kitchen or drying off dishes at the end. This is something that friends rarely buy for themselves, and a great item to pair with the towels would be a beautiful spoon rest or Williams Sonoma Hot Pads or Oven Mitts. These blue hand towels are a great gift, and many other colors available!

Magnolia Table Cookbook

Joanna Gaines’ cookbook is meant for gatherings and connection which makes it the perfect gift for your friend who cooks. Another great option is Ina Gartin’s library of cookbooks on my wish list right now is Cook Like a Pro: Recipes and Tips for Home Cooks. I love reading through a good cookbook and it makes it special when given by a friend.

Cork Pop Wine Opener

Now this is an awesome party trick! This wine opener has a cartridge that exerts pressure or air or something and the cork just pops out with a push of the button! Great for any entertainer and each cartridge pops around 60 bottles of wine open. Pair it along with a bottle of wine and have some fun with friends!
