Gifts To Help Your Friend Relax

We all need a little help de-stressing. These items are tried and true. Perfect gifts to help your friend relax!

Many of our friends (and us) are overworked, stressed out and have trouble refocusing and resting. If you see a friend struggle these gifts are ways you can offer to help your friend relax. Now you don’t NEED to buy a gift, I would first recommend taking them out for coffee, asking if they need anything. Just being a caring, listening friend goes far. If you do want to get a little something to show your friend you want to help in any way you can I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite tools for relaxing and other ideas to help out that friend in need.

Softest and Most Comfy Pajamas

Nordstrom Lingerie brand has the most buttery feeling pajamas in the world. I own long sleeve sets as well as short sleeve sets. We are grown ups now, so lets make a little more of an effort for our sleepwear to match. Imagine how cozy your friend will be at the end of a long day changing out of their work clothes and finally being able to focus on themselves in these comfy pajamas. What a better way to relax! Find these pajamas here! Many colors and markdowns available throughout the year.

Original Buddha Board

More of an artsy friend? This is a great tool to use for decompressing and mindless doodling. You fill the base with water and paint or draw your way to relaxation. When the water evaporates your designs disappear. It’s a wonderful way to get into a zen-like mindset. I imagine an especially crafty friend could do some very cool time lapse videos using one. Check out the Buddha Board here!

Heating Pad For Neck/Shoulder Relief

We all have that friend (or maybe it’s you) that carries around the tension in their shoulders and neck. It becomes so painful and hard to manage when the stress keeps piling on. Offer your friend some relief and send them this heating pad that really helps soothe the sore muscles. There are electric options here. I also have a microwaveable one that is amazing as well – check it out here.

The Contentment Journal

This journal by Rachel Cruze is on my personal wish list. It is a 90 day prompted journal broken in 30 day chunks – gratitude, humility and contentment. Living life through a filter of gratitude has immensely changed the way I move through life and react to obstacles. This book really uncovers ways to be truly thankful for your own life and not feeling the comparison bug to others. I’m really excited to give this one a go and think it sounds like a wonderful gift to get a friend who can practice mindfulness.

The Most AMAZING Leggings EVER

DOES IT FEEL LIKE I’M SHOUTING? It feels like it, but there is a reason everyone and their mother is raving about these leggings. They are the definition of buttery soft, super stretch-able, high rise, and dreamy. I have many pairs in the long pants and cropped. There are also a lot of fakers out there but Colorful Koala is the brand to go by. Honestly, do yourself a favor and buy yourself AND your friend a set of these because they are the definition of comfy lululemon dupes. You may buy these and keep them for yourself, I’ve done it as well! No judgements here but I need to pass along my love for them. Check out the ColorfulKoala leggings here.

Adult Coloring Book with Stress Relieving Patterns

I’m pretty sure if a coloring book can be a New York Times Best Seller it has something working for it. I love coloring and getting into rhythms to take my mind off pressing or stressful matters. The reviews can’t all be lying on this one. Help your friend relax by getting them this coloring book and a good set of colored pencils for a good self care activity.

The NodPod

Probably one of the greatest names of a product. It’s a weighted eye mask that touts a catchphrase “less stress and better sleep.” Doesn’t that sound amazing? I’ve tried a similar product and it’s such a relief adding some weight on top of your head as you sleep. It’s similar affect to a weighted blanket which is dreamy, literally, but miniature sized AND more affordable. Blocks out light, gives gentle pressure and helps you *cough* your friend relax. It doesn’t stay fastened but as long as something is helping me get to sleep and feel better, I’m sold!

Blissful Paper Journal or Notebook

Obviously I’m going to shoutout my journals because I use them for a million different things (post coming soon!). To help your friend relax, a method to try would be Morning Pages Method by Julia Cameron. Another great explanation by Chris Winfield here. This is my pro tip, write a letter or a note to your friend on the first page. Let them know how you intend for them to use it, give a little process whether it is Morning Pages or a Gratitude Journal. Offer loving support and wishes that life will become a little less chaotic, to reach out if there is anything you can do.

There doesn’t always need to be a birthday or holiday to get a friend a gift. If you’re seeing them struggle nothing is better to let them know someone has their back and they’re not in it alone. I hope you enjoy this post! More gift guides can be found here.
